The origin · October 2007
CanePro began with a machine that let us down. In October 2007 we opened our first juice operation on a sugarcane crusher imported from Brazil. The excitement didn't last: oil leaks, mechanical failures, downtime.
We were already seasoned manufacturers of coconut carts — people who build things for a living. So instead of buying another machine, we engineered our own. An expert consultant with over fifteen years in materials, bearings and special-purpose machinery joined the team, and we spent more than eight months on the design. The hardest call was the gearbox — the market was full of lightweight ones in low-grade steel — and the top-tier gearbox we finally chose is still the backbone of every CanePro today.
In 2010 we put knurling rollers on every model — the first company in India to do so — lifting extraction to the figures the range still posts. The machines are now in their sixth generation, running 8-to-10-hour days on juice counters, and because we also operate our own outlets, we live with the same machines we sell.
That's what "manufacturer-direct" means here: a real price without a middleman's margin, spares off our own shelf, and a one-year warranty honoured by the workshop that built the machine.
